Ultraviolet Germicidal Light

Our U-vee High Output Ultraviolet Germicidal Light is also installed in your return air duct, approximately 12-18 inches from your filter rack and filter. The U-vee Germicidal Light reduces bioaerosols such as airborne viruses, fungus, bacteria and various molds. The wavelength of the Ultraviolet (UV) Light penetrates the cell wall and causes the DNA of the cell to react, which in turn, causes sterilization. Therefore, if the cell cannot reproduce, it will die.

The U-vee Light is also available with a safe amount of ozone. One of ozone's primary functions in the natural environment is to purify the air we breathe. The ozone addresses 2 main pollutants: VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), which are gaseous pollutants formed from carpeting, chemicals and some wood products; and odors, which range from tobacco and cooking smoke to mildew and paint fumes, to name a few. Our bulbs have been tested and certified to produce less than the FDA .05ppm. When unused, ozone converts back to oxygen in approximately 20 minutes.
